NK Educators Honored by DKG 

 
In a ceremony on March 15 at Poulsbo City Hall, fourteen NKSD educators were recognized by the Alpha Sigma Chapter of Kitsap, of the Delta Kappa Gamma International Society for Key Women Educators.  Poulsbo Mayor Becky Erickson gave the opening address for this special ceremony.  The Chapter recogized a total of twenty-two educators in Kitsap County.

Honorees are nominated by administrators, fellow teachers, parents and students, and are selected based on exemplary teaching, student success in the classroom and leadership in education.

Veteran educators were recognized for consistent outstanding instruction and support to students for over 30 years, including John Davis, North Kitsap High School (English) and Marsha Rova, Wolfle Elementary.

  • Mary Fox - Librarian at North Kitsap High School
  • Leonie Kinyon - Math Instructor at Kingston Middle School
  • Jaime Patnode - Language Arts Instructor at Kingston Middle School
  • Lisa Journey - Teacher at Poulsbo Elementary
  • Kelly Johnson - Teacher at Wolfle Elementary
  • Yvonne Mouser - Special Education Paraprofessional at Wolfle Elementary
  • Denise Marx - Special Education Paraprofessional at Wolfle Elementary
  • Mary Haynes - Special Education Paraprofessional at Wolfle Element
