Free / Reduced Meal Application

The North Kitsap School District participates in the National School Breakfast & Lunch Program.
You may apply for Free / Reduced-price meals at any time during the school year.
Applications are provided by the Washington Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction.
Applications are available online, in your school office, the Food Service office,
and in your school kitchen in mid-August for the 18/19 school year.
Applications for the 19/20 school year will not be available until August 2019.
*Please note: All Free/Reduced applications from the prior school year  will expire after the first 30 school days of the new school year or when a new one is processed and eligibility is updated.

You the parent and/or guardian are responsible for all charges accrued between when the old application expired and the new one is approved.
Just a reminder,  if your household qualifies for  Free or Reduced-price meals, it does not qualify them to receive a milk or juice by itself (ala carte) for free.  Milk and juice are part of the meal program but if your student brings a meal from home he/she would need to purchase a milk or juice if they want one.  The cost of milk or juice by itself (ala carte) is $0.75 cents.
If you do not want to fill out a paper application you may instead complete an ONLINE application through "Skyward Family Access".  Enter your username and password and then click the link to "Food Service".  There you will see a tab labeled Applications.  Follow the directions from there.
Online applications will be accepted starting on August 20th, 2018 for the 18/19 school year.
Online applications for the 19/20 school year will not be available until August 2019.
