Kingston High School Athletics Highlights

Boys Tennis:
Seniors Garrett McDaniel and Ryan Gudea were alternates to West Central District 3.

Cross Country:
Kingston boys finished 2nd in West Central District #3 and 9th in State. Connor Nichols, Kaeden Peterson, Lucas Lenz, Emmanuel Moes, Benjamin Eudeline, Sam Decker, Luke Whalen were the State qualifiers. In addition to these boys, Alice Moe and Ariana Forbes-Prater qualified for State due to their individual performances at Districts.

Football:
Wide receiver Noah Walter and Defensive Lineman Modou Suso were named to the All-League 2nd Team. Brooks Arnim was named to the All-League Sportsmanship Team.

Girls Soccer:
Goalkeeper Leighton Menge was named the MVP of the Olympic League. Center back Katie Zehrung was named to the 1st Team. Midfielder Lena Bowen was named to the 2nd Team.

Girls Swim:
A small but mighty team of just seven swimmers, Kingston qualified for Districts and had two swimmers, Lilia Menges and Mimi Hayes qualify for State.

Volleyball:
Kingston finished third in the 2A Olympic League, qualifying for the District tournament. Congratulations to Kate McCabe and Marion Stejer for being named to the All-Olympic League 2nd Team.


North Kitsap High School Athletics Highlights

Boys Tennis:
Undefeated League champs. Took on the Vikings of Curtis, Puyallup and Lake Stevens High School and came away champions of the All Viking Invitational. Congratulations to the doubles teams of Josh Smith and Drake Jones, Ryan Williams and Garrett Rhoads, Carl Burchill and Ethan Gillespie for qualifying for the State Tournament in May.

Cross Country:
Girls Cross Country won the West Central District title and finished as a team 6th in state. Congratulations to Salix Wartes-Kahl and Genesi Funston for earning All League recognition.

Boys Cross Country finished 15th in state after finishing 3rd at the district meet. Congratulations to Dereck Cordova and Alec Ibarra for earning All League recognition.

Girls Soccer:
Qualified for the state tournament after a 2nd place finish in districts and in the Olympic League. Congratulations to Kamora McMillianand Tyra Zettyfor earning 1st Team All League. Shout out to Andrea Zetty and Nicole Rosen for their 2nd Team All League recognition.

Girls Swimming:
6th place finish at the 2A State Meet. This finish was fueled by the 200 medley relay team of Zoe Cera, Izzy Cera, Tiffany Le, and Caylie Slama 5th place finish, Zoe’s 6th place finish in the 100 free, 200 free relay team of Zoe Cera, Alyssa Sanchez, Tiffany Le and Caylie Slama finishing 3rd and the same group finishing 4th in the 400 free relay.

Volleyball:
Co -League champs! Finishing the regular season with a record of 13-1 in league. They took this momentum all the way to the State quarterfinals round in Yakima. Congratulations to Coach Mak for being named Coach of the Year. Sophia Baugh, Maddie Pryde and Elle Fultx were all recognized as 1st Team All League players. Lily Pruden earned a 2nd Team All League award.

Football:
Undefeated League Champs headed to the State semifinal game for the first time in school history. The NK coaching staff was recognized as the Coaching Staff of the year. Colton Bower was named the League MVP for the third straight year. 1st team All League honors went to Logan Sloman, Quinn Knivila-Ritchie, Blake Shipp, Ethan Guerra, Jordan Reece, Lincoln Castillo, and Diedo De Luna. 2nd team recognition went to Lincoln Castillo, Carter Dowlearn, Lincoln Hawkins, Sofian Hammou, Benen Lawler and Logan Sloman.
